DEVEN-cog is a multidisciplinary research group based in the Department of Cognitive Science at the METU Informatics Institute. We investigate how cognition develops, evolves, and is shaped by culture.

Our research explores how humans solve problems, learn from others, understand minds and social relationships, use language, and act toward goals, using developmental, cross-cultural, comparative, and computational approaches.

We combine behavioural and psychophysiological methods to understand how cognition emerges and varies across ages, cultures, and species.
